Charlie's Waiting follows two women the night before their wedding. A pregnant Louise is busy with all the planning while her fiancée Kelly busies herself feeding the goats. Everything is going to plan, that is until Louise is forced to confront questions of trust and intimacy, and she discovers how quickly plans can get derailed.

Melisa's plays have been developed at and with Parity Productions (NYC), The Lark (NYC), Dorset Theater Festival at the Theresa Rebeck Writers Colony (VT), Rattlestick Theater (NYC), The New School (NYC), Primary Stages (NYC), ESPA*Drills, The National Arts Club (NYC), The Playground Experiment (NYC), Theater For The New City (NYC), Tangent Theater (NY)...  She also had the joy of writing an episode for Amazon Studio's upcoming series for children Jessy and Nessy.  Mêlisa is currently working on a new musical with Grammy Award Nominee Jamie Floyd (The King's Wife - follow us! @thekingswifemusical on instagram).  Her essays have been published in several major publications, and she is a frequent contributor to the BBC.  Mêlisa also teaches at the NYU Tisch Dramatic Writing program in NYC.

Susan Lyles has a BA from Wichita State University, and received certification from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Shakespeare. She has worked on stage in London, Chicago and Denver and has also worked in film, commercials, print, industrial, and voice over. Susan is the founder and Producing Artistic Director of And Toto too Theatre Company, and has directed more than 20 plays, including the award winning Naked in Encino, Car Talk, and Heads. She has designed costumes for more than 50 plays, including Lion in Winter (Denver Victorian Playhouse), 12th Night (Denver Victorian Playhouse), and Greater Tuna and Christmas Tuna (Denver Victorian Playhouse, Town Hall Arts Center). Susan is also producer for the award winning film production company Ruff, Ruff, Dog Productions.

Amy Serafin (Louise)

Amy Serafin has recently moved to Denver and is excited to make her debut with And Toto too Theatre Company. Amy has her Masters in Classical Acting for the Professional Theatre from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). She was mostly recently seen doing a solo play, Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan in Atlanta for Staged Right Theatre. Amy has also finished writing, and directing in Women of Smoky Wars, for the Kensington Olympia Festival of Music and Arts in the U.K. Amy’s favorite theatre roles include, Gretchen, Boeing, Boeing, Queen Margaret, Richard III, Phedre, Phedre, and Beatrice, Much Ado About Nothing.  When Amy isn’t acting, she is also an award-nominated director, writer, and teaching artist.


Amalia Adiv (KellY)

Amalia Adiv is a writer, performer, and educator from Denver. She recently earned her Master's degree from NYU in Educational Theatre with an emphasis on applied theatre, ethnodrama, and verbatim interview theatre. She spent the past year training with the Barrow Group Apprentice Acting Company and is an active member of the Journalists Devising Company. Amalia’s solo play, Rendezvous Way, is currently in development and has been shared at the Barrow Group Artist Residency and Barn Arts Collective. On multiple occasions, Amalia has written curriculum for and performed with the Verbatim Performance Lab. She conducted research for and appeared in the Lab’s original ethnodrama, Of a Certain Age, which explores the experiences of performing artists and ageism, and also performed in the Lab’s most recent verbatim video series, the Serena Williams Project. As an educator, Amalia specializes in early childhood and develops classes for preschool aged children that use process drama and imaginative play to foster social and emotional growth. 

JENNIE LESKI (ANNIE)

Jennie Leski is thrilled to be a part of this project and to be making her debut with the And Toto too Theatre Company. She recently graduated from Southern Methodist University with her BFA in Theatre, with a specialization in Acting and Directing. She has also trained in improvisation at Second City in Chicago. Her favorite credits include Fabiana Cunningham (Last Days of Judas Iscariot), Sherry (Tigers Be Still), and Li’l Bit (How I Learned to Drive.) She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support!
