Kim Davies

Kim Davies is a member of Youngblood and the New Georges Jam. Her play Smoke recently premiered at the Flea Theater for a thrice-extended run, was a New York Times and Time Out New York Critics' Pick, and will be premiering in Portuguese translation in São Paulo, Brazil.  Published editions of Smoke are forthcoming with Playscripts and Overlook Press.  She is one of eight playwrights from all over the world selected by Ibsen International to join their New Text, New Stage program in Beijing, China in 2015 and 2016, where she will workshop a new play under the auspices of the National Theater of Oslo.  Short works, including Sensitive Young Men, Untitled Play about Balls, Miss Authenticity, and The Love of Richard Nixon, have been produced with the Ensemble Studio Theatre, the Weasel Festival, and the 24 Hour Plays.  She received her MFA in playwriting from Mac Wellman and Erin Courtney’s program at Brooklyn College.
