Lorenzo Sariņana

Michael Apres

Lorenzo Sariņana never performed a single play in High School. At seventeen, Lorenzo learned the ropes of show business the hard way by working directly for the city of El Paso, Texas in their celebrated outdoor musical "VIVA! EL PASO!" and also landing a place in the repertory company of The El Paso Association for the Performing Arts' "Shakespeare-on-the-Rocks" festival. Lorenzo was eventually awarded dance and dramatic scholarships to attend Texas Woman's University. Though his early ensemble performances were recognized by The American College Theater Festival, it was his principal role as Jean in "Miss Julie" and portrayal of Lt. Portuondo in Nilo Cruz's "Two Sisters and a Piano" that were described as "breathtaking" and "iconic". Lorenzo worked for various other theaters in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and lists the Watertower Theatre in Addison and his work with New York based Lisa Niedermeyer as among his favorites.
Lorenzo's credits in Colorado include the controversial work from Los Angeles playwright Brian Bauman, "Porridge", which premiered regionally at the Boulder Fringe Fest. The cutting edge LIDA Project in Denver has also collaborated with Lorenzo on their much lauded works "Rain/ of terror" and "Joseph K". Recently, Lorenzo appeared as the world's most recognized star crossed lover in Vintage Theater's production of Romeo and Juliet to critical acclaim.
